2 Timothy 4 1-4

This teaching on 2 Timothy 4 1-4 was given by pastor Barry Forder at Calvary Chapel Portsmouth on 4th August 2019.

As Paul begins his final farewell to Timothy, he once again draws Timothy’s attention to the apostasy that will abound in the last days, and particularly within the church, as people abandon the Word in favor of ‘feel-good self-help messages’. In the midst of this compromise, as Timothy’s commander in this spiritual war, Paul commands Timothy to Preach the Word without wavering. Preach it when they want to hear and even when they don’t.

The Word of God is immovable, never changing, eternally true and everlasting. The grass will wither, the flowers will fade, but the Word of our God stands forever. Time will not change it, popular opinion will certainly not change it, political correctness will not intimidate it.

May you be blessed and encouraged by this study.
