Paul’s short letter to Philemon is a powerful 25 verse presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
The letter addresses Philemon whose salve, Onesimus, had stolen from him, ran away to Rome where he had met Paul and been converted.
Paul pleads with Philemon to take Onesimus back, not merely as a salve, but now as a beloved brother.
Just as Christ is our advocate with the Father, so Paul offers to personally pay any debt that is owed.
