In this study, recorded at our family service on Sunday 19th November 2017, guest speaker, Ilir Begaj looks at examples from the life of David to underline that the battle belongs to the LORD.
There were many times David could have had confidence in the flesh, that is, trusted in his own abilities and strength, but repeatedly we see him trusting in God; to deliver him, to vindicate him, to provide for him…
As David wrote in Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God”.
Ilir’s teaching challenges us to remember that whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, if we are the LORD’s, the battle is His, not ours.
As we read in 2 Chron 16:9 “the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him”.
