Waiting for God’s Best

In this study, recorded at our family service on Sunday 17th September, guest speaker, Ilir Begaj taught from 1 Samuel 8:1-7

Ilir grew up in a Muslim family in Kosovo but came to know the love of Jesus for himself. In this study, Ilir shows from scripture the danger of impatiently seeking what we think we want right now, rather than patiently waiting for God’s best.

Ilir also highlighted the lure to be like the world when we should instead recognise we are not of this world. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world”. (1 John 2:15-16)

May you be blessed, challenged and encouraged by this teaching.
